Global Ambassadors
Would you like to apply to be a Global Ambassador?
Adjusting to a new cultural environment can be exciting and challenging. New international students at Tennessee Tech often have a lot of questions and concerns during their first weeks on campus. The Global Ambassadors Program was created to ease the transition for international students, and to encourage lifelong friendships between cultures.
The Global Ambassadors are matched with new international students. Things that you might do with new international students:
| Share a meal | Go shopping |
| Talk about your culture | Take students to visit your family |
| Study together | Attend a school event |
| Explore Cookeville | Hang out |
Requirements:
• Provide sensitivity needed to assist new undergraduate international students.• Demonstrate a sincere interest in helping people.
• Be respectful to religious, political, orientation and cultural differences.
• Not promote any political or religious organization(s).
Benefits:

- Upon completion of one academic year, receive a completion certificate and a recommendation from the Director of the Center for Global Experiences
