How Voting Works: Tennessee Tech SGA utilizes Ranked Choice Voting (Instant Runoff for single seats, Single Transferable Vote for multi-seat Senate races). Because voters rank their choices, surplus votes from winners and votes from eliminated candidates are transferred round-by-round. A candidate is elected when they cross the required vote threshold (the quota), not necessarily by having the highest raw total at the end of the math.
Results approved by the Election Commission on April 14, 2026.
