Studying abroad is the unmatched opportunity of a lifetime. Whether you’re interested in staying in your host country over the summer, a semester, or an entire academic year, we work with the Center for Global Experiences to ensure that you get credit for the classes you take abroad. If you’re looking for faculty-led programs, Foreign Languages often organizes trips over the summer or spring break. Previous destinations included Germany, Austria, France and Morocco. In terms of cost savings, Tennessee Tech can cover your airfare up to $1,000, and it also offers several scholarships. Start planning early and go global!

To join a faculty-led study abroad program, you register in a specific course (of 1 or 3 credit hours) and have some coursework to complete. This course can sometimes count for General Education or Language requirements.

What is a “Faculty-Led” Trip?

Faculty-led trips are organized by professors in the context of a course. Faculty-led trips are perfect for a first out-of-country experience! They are short (a few days to a few weeks) and students are not alone: classmates and two faculty members are accompanying them.
