The Pure Mathematics concentration emphasizes abstract mathematical theory, including topics such as algebra, analysis and geometry. Students develop rigorous reasoning and proof skills, preparing them for graduate study or careers requiring advanced conceptual mathematics. The Department of Mathematics offers a well-balanced curriculum that can prepare students for immediate entry into the workforce or for further study at the graduate level. The curriculum provides students with a solid foundation in mathematics while offering flexibility in course selection.
