The Hardware and System Security concentration combines computer engineering with
in-depth knowledge of hardware design, network protocols and cybersecurity. Students
gain a strong foundation in computer architecture, programming and algorithms while
learning to identify vulnerabilities, implement countermeasures and design robust
systems. Graduates are equipped with skills to design secure hardware systems and
mitigate security risks in an interconnected world. This program, a joint effort between
the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Computer
Science, is designed to prepare graduates for entry into the computer engineering
profession.
