Mad Topics Lunar Rover Collaboration
We are excited to announce a new collaborative outreach initiative between Mad Topics and the Tennessee Tech College of Engineering Lunar Rover Club , designed to engage and inspire the TN Tech campus community.
Together, we will work to create meaningful, hands-on experiences to connect real-world engineering and mental health applications with student learning outcomes.
As part of this initiative, Mad Topics will pitch a fidget toy concept to the Lunar Rover team. In return, the Lunar Rover team will develop and present a fabrication process and pitch of their own, showcasing engineering skills in action.
We want your ideas!
Mad Topics will be gathering concepts for our pitch at the following events:
- Mix & Mingle Event – Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
- First Gen Friday – Friday, September 5, 2025.
In early November, Mad Topics, the Lunar Rover Club, and our existing partner Office of First-Generation Students (OFGSS)[KS3] , will co-host a workshop introducing first-generation students to:
- Mental health tools and resources provided by Mad Topics.
- Engineering processes and fabrication skills demonstrated by the Lunar Rover team.
We hope that this initiative equips students with the tools they need to succeed, that they may not typically have exposure to, by bringing together two independent spheres on campus.
