About

Dr. Beau Wynn is an assistant professor in the Exercise Science department. He began his journey at Tennessee Tech in 2012, where he decided to pursue his interests in physical education to become a teacher and coach. Upon graduation in 2015, he continued into graduate coursework at Tennessee Tech as a graduate assistant with a focus on Elementary and Middle School Physical Education.

During his time as a graduate assistant, he was responsible for teaching physical education classes to undergraduate students. These classes included volleyball, tennis, badminton, pickle ball, walking for fitness, beginner and advanced weightlifting, and physical fitness testing. It was in this time that his passion for teaching grew. After completing his master’s degree in 2018, he enrolled in the Exceptional Learning PhD program at Tennessee Tech University with a focus in Health Behaviors and Wellness Education.

Dr. Wynn completed his PhD in the summer of 2022 and later received a job teaching in the Tennessee Public School System. He recently joined the faculty of the Exercise Science department in the Fall of 2023 and is looking forward to his new journey as an assistant professor at TTU.
