Michelle Johns is a Lecturer with a rich academic and interdisciplinary background. Before arriving at Tennessee Tech University in the Fall of 2025, she taught at Louisiana State University Shreveport for five years. Michelle holds a Ph.D. in Jewish Studies, along with Master of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice, Jewish Studies, Rabbinic Studies, and Sociology. Dr. Johns' teaching portfolio includes a broad spectrum of Criminal Justice courses; Her most notable instruction is in Juvenile Delinquency and Criminology. Her professional passion lies in the advocacy, rehabilitation, and protection of juveniles. Beyond the classroom, Michelle is a self-proclaimed “Yarnologist” who finds joy and creativity in knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, and other yarn-related arts. This unique blend of intellectual rigor and artistic passion defines her both professionally and personally.
