Mari Ramler teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the Professional and Technical Communication concentration in English. Her research interests include digital communication, AI, and religious rhetoric. Recent articles appear in Rhetoric Society Quarterly, Technical Communication Quarterly, and the Journal of Communication and Religion.
She holds a Ph.D. in rhetorics, communication, and information design from Clemson University and a Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University, where she was awarded The Wilbur F. Tillett Prize for accomplishments in the study of theology.
Her book (co-edited with Victoria Houser) Purity Culture, Bodies, and Beliefs: Stories of Religious Trauma will be available in 2026 by Penn State University Press.
