Curtis P. Armstrong holds the positions of Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences and Management at Tennessee Technological University. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the College of Business at Florida State University in 1995. His dissertation was on Creating Business Value through Information Technology: The Effects of the CIO and Top Management Team Characteristics, with V. Sambamurthy as his advisor. He has worked in the information systems field for several years in both the private and public sector. His research interests include data analytics, information systems management, information technology innovation, and IT and organization alignment. His research has been published in Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Competitive Intelligence Review, Quality Management, and European Journal of Innovation Management.
